An interesting premise, in a well written mystery. I found some of it a bit contrived, but I was interested enough that I was able to suspend my credulity to enjoy the book. It did perk my interest in English history enough that I did some searching regarding English royalty of the period.Product details

I've always enjoyed British historical fiction and therefore was intrigued with the title of this book. I had recently read other theories of the events of this era of the Plantagenet saga so carrying on with further information was great fun.
The main character follows the new image of an educated inquisitive scholar and adding his more brawny than brainy sidekick was interesting. Add a gutsy lady attorney and you have a good read. I'm sure Ms Prescott will be worth following as she and her characters grow and mature. I'll be sure to look for more work from her.
I was surprised that there were only a couple reviews for this book. It's a hidden gem for anyone with a love for history. A local historian who uncovers a centuries old mystery? That subject matter is exactly what I love, just wish there was more of it around. Looking forward to reading other books by this author
